ANAT FRITZ

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about HardSilk sculptures and working with the studio.

What is HardSilk?

HardSilk is a patent-pending sculptural material system developed by Anat Fritz. It transforms silk into a translucent, load-bearing membrane that captures light like stained glass but with organic, flowing forms impossible to achieve with traditional materials.

How much does a HardSilk sculpture cost?

Pricing varies based on scale, complexity, and site requirements. Sculptures range from museum-quality collectibles to monumental installations. Contact the studio for a personalized quote based on your vision and space.

Do you accept custom commissions?

Yes. Anat Fritz Studio accepts select commissions for collectors, museums, corporations, hospitality projects, and private residences. The commission process begins with a consultation to understand your vision, space, and requirements.

How long does a commission take?

Commission timelines vary from 3-12 months depending on scale and complexity. This includes design development, material preparation, creation, curing, and installation. Rush timelines may be accommodated for select projects.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes. HardSilk sculptures are shipped worldwide with museum-quality crating and climate-controlled transport. Installation services can be arranged globally through our network of certified installers.

How do I care for a HardSilk sculpture?

HardSilk sculptures require minimal maintenance. The cured membrane is dust-resistant and can be gently cleaned with a soft, dry cloth. Detailed care instructions are provided with every acquisition. The material is UV-stable and colorfast.

Can I visit the studio?

Private studio visits in Miami Beach are available by appointment for serious collectors, art advisors, and design professionals. Contact the studio to schedule a visit.

Is HardSilk suitable for outdoor installation?

Select HardSilk works can be installed in covered outdoor environments or climate-controlled spaces. Fully exposed outdoor installations require special considerations and protective treatments. Discuss your site with the studio.

What makes HardSilk different from other sculptural materials?

HardSilk is the only material that combines the luminosity of stained glass, the organic fluidity of fabric, and structural integrity of solid sculpture. It captures and transforms light in ways no other medium can achieve.

Can I learn the HardSilk technique?

Anat Fritz offers a private mentorship program for select artists and creative professionals. This is the only way to learn the proprietary HardSilk Method. Applications are reviewed on an individual basis.
